Congratulations on your growing family and welcome to Bijoux Babies Doula Services. Here, I honor birthing persons, the human body, and the right to choose. I provide inclusive, full spectrum doula service that aims at ensuring my clients, regardless of background and identity, receive the support, encouragement, education and love they need as they experience fertility, pregnancy, labor, birth, or loss.
Becoming a parent for the first time or even many times over can be overwhelming and simultaneously exciting. Having a doula present can provide a sense of calm in chaos and peace under stress as you walk in this journey. Because we can’t predict how every birth or postpartum season will go or have control over every detail in the process, I can help you prepare for the experience through education, empowerment, advocacy, and emotional support. My husband Curt and I were both drawn to Cydney as a doula while we were expecting our first baby in the Spring of 2020. She is a warm and grounded person, in addition to being an excellent communicator. During the final months of my pregnancy, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic taking hold and the very heartbreaking and troubling days following the murder of George Floyd in our city, she was a source of calm and connection. While COVID-19 did not allow Cydney to be physically present at the birth of our son, and it just didn't work out to have her with us virtually during my intense 48-hour labor, I still felt her energy with us before, during and after. We were able to meet in-person one time, and her demonstrations of labor positions proved to be very helpful indeed. I am so grateful for everything she did for us. I wholeheartedly recommend her doula services for anyone searching for knowledgeable, grounded support for late pregnancy and birth.
